GOSSIP 2 GO 8/11

ENTOURAGE" star Adrian Grenier's pot luck picnic in Central Park's Sheep Meadow the other afternoon turned into a full-blown party. Grenier and his rock 'n' ukelele band, the Honey Brothers performed jokey tunes like "I Feel Gay" and "Monkeywrencher Love Song" while their friends played four simultaneous games of Twister. They caused such a ruckus that park rangers broke up the bash. The goofy gaggle continued their revelry outside the patio of Tavern on the Green. The band plays tomorrow night at Mercury Lounge.
MAGAZINE insiders are snickering at the deal Jessica Simpson's manager/father, Joe Simpson, made with OK! magazine. Simpson graced the inaugural U.S. issue and got $200,000. But insiders say the $200,000 was a package deal in which Simpson will be on six more covers and host the magazine's Sept. 20 launch party on the roof of the Cornelia Day Spa on Fifth Avenue. "The deal also precludes Jessica from giving any other magazines major features until all the covers are done, which will be in like two years. So basically, Joe sold his daughter out for $200,000," the insider said. Another source said Jessica may be getting a $100,000 bonus for the party appearance. Jessica's spokesman, Brad Cafarelli, said: "OK! approached Jessica to be on the premier cover of their U.S. edition, and she looks forward to working with them again in the future. However, this does not mean that she will not continue to have working relationships with other weekly publications."
RILED residents of a squatters' building in the East Village where "Sin City" actress Rosario Dawson and her mother, Isabel, live are talking trash about their famous neighbors.
Requesting anonymity, two tenants of the East 13th Street tenement called PAGE SIX and claimed that Rosario and Isabel have not been paying $100-a-month "dues" in the squat, which is in the process of becoming a low-income co-op.
The duo resent the fact that movie star Rosario has the nerve to keep an apartment in the tenement building, where her mother also has a pad.
"She's a multimillionaire," complained one tenant. "Our building is for low-income people." The tenant was particularly galled when Dawson enlisted Ty Pennington, the hunky host of TLC's "Trading Spaces," to redecorate her studio on his show.
A second tenement tattletale alleged that Isabel, a statuesque singer who sometimes sports a mohawk, feuds with other residents and hangs out with a "rough crowd" on the building's stoop (the same place where Rosario, then 15, was discovered by Larry Clark and cast in his controversial 1995 movie, "Kids.")
But Isabel told us, "I've lived here 19 years — you're bound to have altercations with some people . . . My daughter is doing extremely well, and I'm proud of her. Wherever Rosario decides to live — especially the building she grew up in as a little girl — she has that right. Whoever called you is a sad person and they need to get a life. I'm sad about it. And I'm sad my daughter gets dragged into it because of who she is."
Isabel chided us for focusing on "other people's negative energy," and pointed out that she and Rosario — who stars in the upcoming Shakespeare in the Park production of "Two Gentlemen of Verona" — are active in the local Boys and Girls Club.
Fashion designer Kimora Lee Simmons will have all of her charges from a July 2004 police chase dropped if she successfully completes a pre-trial intervention program in New York for non-violent first offenders.
Simmons, the wife of Def Jam co-founder Russell Simmons, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Superior Court to careless driving and agreed to serve six months of probation. At the time of her arrest, authorities said she drove erratically and ignored a police car’s flashing lights and wailing siren for several miles. Once pulled over, police discovered a small amount of weed in the car.
The former model was arrested and charged with eluding a police officer, possessing marijuana (under 50 grams), careless driving, operating a vehicle while possessing a controlled substance, tail-gating and having a taillight out.So I guess Big Betty and the girls won't be seeing her "baby fat".
Toni Braxton says she was in such a happy place during the making of her new album “Libra” that she found it difficult to write any edgy material. "I didn't write as much, because I usually write what's going on in my life most of the time, but I'm happily married with children and no one really cares about that,” she says, according to Contact Music. "Unfortunately that's not considered ‘Sexy’ - people want drama." “Libra” will be released on Blackground/Universal Records in September.
Ear-bighting boxer Mike Tyson is not only taking off his boxing gloves, but he may be dropping his pants as well. According to the New York Daily News, Tyson has been approached by reps for porn star Jenna Jameson to co-star in an X-rated adult film. Jameson apparently sought-out Tyson because of court documents from his rape trial which indicated that his manhood is at least 14 inches long. Boxing writer Pedro Fernandez says, "If Tyson brings out some of the ferocity that made him a champion, he could definitely become a successful porn star."I am buggin' that I find him so sexy right now.
Usher's name from the list of talent attached to the upcoming 'Dreamgirls' movie project. Sources close to the production say negotiations between the chart-topping entertainer's camp and the film's producers went array, and they've opted to go with another one name singer, Omarion. Beyonce Knowles, Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy -- his wife Nicole filed for divorce last week -- are already attached to the project. Names such as Fantasia, Kelly Price and Jennifer Hudson ('American Idol') are still being tossed around to play the role of the Jennifer Holliday character Effie White.
If Omarion gets the part....And I am telling you,I'M NOT GOIN'!
The New York Daily News reports that the report in The Sun claiming Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs and girlfriend Kim Porter got in a fight that left her with a broken nose was reported by MSNBC, but the cable network issued an apology after Puffy's reps confirmed the two are happily on family vacations.
The Sun reports that Madonna is teaming up with Outkast's Andre 3000 after meeting him on the set of hubby Guy Ritchie's film 'Revolver.' "Madonna showed up on the set of 'Revolver' and made me really nervous," the rapper/actor admitted. "She walked around the corner and I forgot all my lines. She asked me what I thought about music and where it was going. Then we talked about something on her new album." Look for the two in a collaboration on Madonna's upcoming LP, 'Confessions On A Dancefloor'.

'New Ike & Tina':

Poor Ms. Porter. Power is an addiction, and those who wield it and those attracted to it eventually suffer the consequences such as a moth to a flame. Few of us "choose" to barter away our dignity, we just parcel it away some at a time.

I'm tired. Tired of seeing, hearing about and witnessing people who behave in such ways that really shows their disconnection from the true gift of a soul having a human experience.

I smell megalomania, and that there girl needs to secure her child support and get on with being "her own" fabulous. There was a life before "Puff Daddy," and can be one after. As far as I can remember, the sun rose and set before I ever heard of him.

I draw the line at passing licks, and 'aint nothing you can give me, show me, or take me to to enable me to endure that. Hell, with a 750 Beacon score, you too can do all that, and not have a broken nose, mabye just a broken wallet ;)
Alas, it is also a challenge of balance, for perfection is not a given, but an ideal. The power of destruction is the most frequent and mis-used power that humans often resort to, and the heart-break is that most times, it's upon another human being.

Mamma said knock you out!
