But what really impresses us is his skill as an astute businessman and his incredible marketing skills, in making underwear ads trendy, and growing a business that seems to have limited room for diversification into a global empire.
Calvin Klein the man, is famous, but not nearly as famous as the brand name that bears his name, and has spawned a clothing giant, with a lucrative hold of the perfume market with scents like Obsession, One and Eternity. The brand name "Calvin Klein" is one of the world's most valuable alongside Pepsi, Kodak, IBM, and Nike.
His ad campaigns have been everything from seductive to preverse but never forgettable.From Brook Shields in the 80's to the rap stars in the 90's,Calvin Klein billboards continue to be the major head turner at Times Square.Here's my tribute(a small tribute) to Calvin Klein the marketing genius. From Brooke to Kate Moss To Foxy Brown,Mr. Klein continues to keep the consumer always looking up.
