GOSSIP 2 GO 9/21

JOHN Stamos is happy for ex-wife Rebecca Romijn, who announced Monday she was engaged to "Stand By Me" actor Jerry O'Connell. Stamos told PAGE SIX: "I wish them nothing but the best" — which is more than what a few friends of the former couple can say. One pal of Stamos and Romijn said: "Monday would have been John and Rebecca's wedding anniversary had they stayed married. It just seems tacky." Romijn and O'Connell actually got engaged on Sunday.

BRAD Pitt fired a pregnant employee from his production company because she dared speak out on behalf of his estranged wife, Jennifer Aniston. Pitt, 41, was furious that Aniston's pal Kristin Hahn — an exec with Plan B (the film company he and Aniston, 36, founded in 2002) — told Vanity Fair it would be "beyond painful" for the actress to see Pitt and girlfriend Angelina Jolie, 30, have a baby together. An Us Weekly source claims Pitt "screamed" at Hahn, claiming she violated her contract by speaking about him without his approval — although Aniston had given hers. Hahn claims the departure was "amicable."

DR. Phil McGraw (above) is hiring — but not paying much. The TV shrink, who makes at least $15 million a year hosting "Dr. Phil," posted a help-wanted ad on seeking full-time and part-time transcribers for the fourth season of the syndicated daytime hit. Unfortunately, the penny-pinching TV host is offering a paltry $7 per hour, and no benefits. Adding insult to injury, the ad reminds prospective employees that they must be willing to work the graveyard shift. A rep for the show declined to comment.

BEFORE Lil' Kim started serving her one-year sentence for perjury, she gave an interview to Fab Five Freddy for the VH1 Hip Hop Honors, which will pay tribute to her former flame, Notorious B.I.G. She says they had instant chemistry and that he called her "his bitch" or "Queen Bitch." It might be just as well that she doesn't actually attend the event. Biggie's widow, Faith Evans, will be there, as will the late rapper's mother, Voletta Wallace, who is penning a book that is said to show Lil' Kim in a less than flattering light.

The claws are back out between Tyra Banks and Video Vixen Karrine Steffans.
Banks was hissing after Steffans, who admits she has been intimate with Jay-Z, Shaquille O'Neal, Usher, Ja Rule, Sean (Diddy) Combs, Vin Diesel and Fred Durst, claimed that she and Tyra "are not that different."
Now catwalker Tyra, who's promoting her fifth season on "America's Next Top Model," is refusing to go on John Salley and Ananda Lewis' L.A. radio show after Steffans used that forum to trash her.
"I heard they call Tyra 'Hollywood Hop,'" Steffans told Salley and Lewis, "for the many men in Hollywood who have bedded Tyra and moved on."
Salley, who's also on Fox Sports Network's "The Best Damn Sports Show Period," said he thought "Tyra was a friend" and just wanted to get her on the radio to promote her talk show. "I still want her on," he told our Jawn Murray.
Banks apparently has other issues with the radio crew. We hear she's not keen on the idea of seeing Salley's sidekick face to face after Tyra stole her former boyfriend, basketball star Chris Webber, several years back. "Yeah, she mentioned that she didn't want to come on because we had Ananda on," Salley added.
"There was a request, after Karrine did the show," Banks' rep Cindi Berger told us. "We weren't going to have Tyra do it, because she wasn't going to further publicity for Karrine, therefore the request for Tyra to do the radio show was denied."

So what does Britney's old fellow Mouseketeer Christina Aguilera have to say about Britney Spears new baby son Sean Preston? "
"My assistant came in the room when it happened and she's like, 'Britney had a boy!' and I was like, 'Oh my gosh!' I don't know where I was for a while when she was pregnant but it really kicked in at that point," Aguilera told MTV News at the Us Weekly Young Hollywood Hot 20 event on Friday. "It's like, wow, she had a baby! That's crazy! I'm overjoyed and thrilled for her." Aguilera said she has already sent Spears a baby gift and a card. "It's such an exciting time in her life and I just wish her the best," she added."

Vocalist Kelly Price barely escaped the wrath of Hurricane Katrina. The song stylist was in New Orleans taping an appearance for 'Gospel Dream,' the 'American Idol'-like reality series she judges for the Gospel Music Channel.
"It was Sunday morning, and we had already received instructions, there were survival instructions that the hotel had slipped under every occupied room on what to do when the winds got so high they busted your windows open. They anticipated that! We were running water in bathtubs and trying to get our personals and essentials together," she remembered.
Price continued: "The Lord really showed us what it meant to have favor on that weekend! The Lord touched the heart of the man of God, and he called us on Sunday morning and he told us, 'Get your things together and meet me in the lobby of your hotel in 15 minutes.' He put the keys of one of his personal vehicles in our hands and he told my husband, 'Take your wife and get out of the city.' "
Price said their journey from New Orleans to Atlanta wasn't an easy one. "Literally, by the time we got on the road, we were dodging tornados. We had to pull over in Mobile, Ala. and sit for a while because there were three tornados on three different sides of us. The National Weather Service interrupted all radio and said that if you were in a car, to ditch your car and go find a hole and get in it if you couldn't find a building and get in a closet and away from windows. A drive that normally would have taken seven hours took sixteen hours because of evacuation traffic, but God was really merciful to us," said Price.
The singer hopes that fellow hurricane survivors will take this opportunity to strengthen their relationship with God. "They need to know they were spared for a reason. God could have allowed them to perish but He didn't," she said. "My message to the people is that God has not forgotten you! Know and understand that in everything we are to give thanks. There is a greatness that I think is going to come on the back end of this!"

Joss Stone tells The New York Daily News she narrowly missed being in the line of fire when Suge Knight was shot in Miami ahead of the MTV Video Music Awards. "I left a few minutes before it happened," Stone said, adding that the Death Row Records founder had been sitting close by. "I was with my boyfriend and I told him, 'I've got to get out of here now. I have a bad feeling.'"
