GOSSIP 2 GO 11/11

THE real reason Paris Hilton hasn't given her ex-fiancé, Paris Latsis, back his 24-carat engagement ring is because it's not real. Hilton, who's now fooling around with young Stavros Niarchos, "bought it for herself," giggled our spy. "It's a cubic zirconia. The ring Paris [Latsis] gave her was a much smaller one [from Cartier]. She lied to Us Weekly about it and everyone picked it up."

ROD Stewart says he doesn't do cocaine anymore because it's just not as pure as it used to be. The rooster-coiffed crooner, 60, longs for the days when dealers didn't mix the drug to maximize profits. "I don't know why anyone would want to take coke now," Stewart tells "It was different in my day, because it was all so much purer. Now these dealers mix it with salt, washing powders, anything they can get their hands on. Kids just don't know what they're taking."

DAMON Dash leapt on stage and grabbed the mike at Wednesday's Victoria's Secret after-party so the former Roc-A-Wear partner could advertise his own brands to a crowd that included Heidi Klum, Gisele Bundchen, Tyra Banks and Dennis Rodman. "Everybody was in shock," said one observer. "First of all, you just don't give yourself a shout-out. He went on for about 30 minutes, saying, 'D Dash is in the house, D Dash is on the mike,' and then naming all his brands. I've never seen anything like it. No wonder Jay-Z didn't want this guy as his partner." Dash's flack, Amanda Silverman, said, "They asked him to be the deejay. He was just having fun." A Victoria's Secret rep said, "He was never asked to be the deejay.

Now that 50 Cent's film "Get Rich or Die Tryin" has been out for a couple of days, someone has probably hipped you to a couple of standout moments – most notably, the jailhouse shower scene.
A buck naked 50 Cent and Terrence Howard, as characters Marcus and Bama, slip and slide in the prison shower while trying to fend off some irate inmates attempting to stab Marcus.
"The water in the shower was cold that day," laughs Howard, in case someone has something to say about his full frontal shot. In fact, he went on to joke about how he came up "short" in the scene.
Director Jim Sheridan, whose previous credits include "My Left Foot" and "In the Name of the Father,"had asked that the actors be completely nude in order to make the scene more realistic. But Howard initially refused.
"I didn't want to do it. They weren’t supposed to film anything but up here," he says, placing his palms on his chest. "But that was such a compromise to Jim's vision. I believed so much in what Jim was trying to accomplish, and I saw him sitting with this defeated look.
"This is my leader, who I believed in, not wanting to ask us. But I could hear it in him, just rubbing the last few hairs left on his head."
Sensing Jim wasn't completely satisfied with the semi-nude take, Howard approached the director of photography, Declan Quinn, and asked if they could shoot the scene one more time.
"I turned to 50 and I took my pants off and said, 'Let's just do the scene naked. Let's do it one time. And without hesitation – I've been in the business 20 years [and have never seen this] – without hesitation he took them off and we did the scene. And that man who was defeated behind the monitor before was like, 'Okay! This is what we gotta do!' And we were able to give him, by trusting him, what he had given us by trusting us with his vision and his career."
Another moment sure to be discussed on the way home was the love scene between Marcus and his childhood best friend Charlene, played by Joy Bryant. The actress says she fell out laughing when 50, a.k.a. Curtis Jackson, arrived on the set to shoot the scene without a stitch of clothing.
"He didn’t know," Bryant smiles, her voice filled with mock pity. "Me having done a love scene before, I know that usually guys wear some king of thingy, right? But no one told him that. They kinda left him hanging…badum bum," she says accenting the pun.
"I was like, 'Go put a sock on it!' He was like, 'What?' I said, 'You need to put something on.' He didn't know, so I'm like, 'Go talk to so-and-so and tell them you need to put something on it. He comes back with a diaper. I'm like, 'I said a sock. So he goes and comes back with like the longest sock in the history of socks."

I dished in yesterday's gossip 2 go,about the theaters not wanting to screen 50's movie in fear of shootings, well here is their validation.
on Wednesday night in the Pittsburgh area a man was shot and killed after a screening of the movie.
The shooting happened at the Loews Cineplex at The Waterfront in West Homestead. Allegheny County homicide detectives are still looking for suspects.
Authorities say the victim, Shelton Flowers of Wilkinsburg, began arguing with the shooter in the men’s room and the argument spilled out into the lobby
"A policeman came in with a dog," said Jonathon St. Jean, a movie patron. "Not too long after, everyone was asked to leave." Police also say Flowers had attended the 9 p.m. showing of the new movie and that he was accompanied by a woman. At press time, they were still trying to locate the unidentified woman.
According to reports, Loews has decided to cease showing the violent movie while the police investigation continues.

Is Halle Berry with child? British newspaper The Sun is standing by its story that the Oscar-winning actress is pregnant with Michael Ealy’s baby. Berry, who turned 39 in August, told Oprah Winfrey in March that she would like to have a child before she hits the big 4-0. "If there's no serious man, whoever I'm dating at the time, I'll say, 'Hey, would you like to have a baby? I'll sign a paper that will say I won't ask you for one red cent.'"

Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas has been cast in an episode of "The Sopranos." The singer, whose real name is Stacy Ferguson, will play an undercover cop working in Tony Soprano's Bad-A-Bing strip joint, reports London's The Daily Mirror. She's also set to appear opposite Kurt Russell in the film "Poseidon," a remake of 70s disaster flick "The Poseidon Adventure."

Katherine Jackson is reportedly furious with Tito for singing backup behind a Michael Jackson impersonator during a Halloween party last month. The Globe said that the Jackson family matriarch couldn’t bear to watch her 53-year-old son make a mockery of his superstar brother in public. A source told The Globe: "Katherine rushed backstage and coaxed Tito off. Then she gave him an earful and told him how stupid he looked playing alongside someone impersonating his own brother."

Catwalk rivals Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks have finally retracted their claws.
For 14 years the two supermodels have hissed at each other. But last week, Campbell agreed to appear on Banks' syndicated talk show to discuss their feud. Insiders say the beauties agreed that their handlers had pitted them against each other because they were two of the few black stars in the business.
Wednesday night at the Victoria's Secret fashion show, fashionistas were stunned to see them hugging.
Banks confided, "This was the first time I've been in a room with Naomi when I didn't fear her."
The two veterans had more to fear from younger challengers. Campbell sparked whispers when she went off to do her own makeup. Some are convinced that, at 35, she has had a little tuck and nip — or at least some injections. So she supposedly doesn't want anyone seeing her unvarnished.
Campbell's rep insists: "Naomi has had absolutely no work done. She's very open about her age. She calls herself 'Grandma.'
"She likes to do her own makeup because she learned from the masters in the 1980s."
Tyra, who's 31, also came in for some sniping. Since it was her last Victoria's Secret show, Heidi Klum presented her with some farewell angel wings. But little devils couldn't help but observe how much thinner new mom Klum looked than Banks.

"Tyra made sure that Victoria's Secret only gave her lingerie that hid her butt," hissed one spy.
Others, perhaps jealous of Banks' new talk show, objected to her entourage of manager, publicist, personal makeup and hair stylist, and, especially, her camera crew.
"Gisele Bundchen couldn't believe that Tyra's cameras were filming [backstage] when she was almost naked," says a source. "Gisele said, 'Get them out of here!'"
Banks' reps insist she caused no trouble.

And, if there's a little more jiggle on her, the guys in the audience, who included Usher, Lenny Kravitz and Pharrell Williams, certainly weren't
